She is then married to the Maharaja of Jhansi at a very young age but, still continues to act as Kranti Guru.
Initially, she takes the name and face of Kranti Guru and fights against the British while being undercover. From an early life, Laxmi Bai despised the British rule in India and wanted to throw them out of the country. The story begins showing Laxmi Bai at the age of 14 living with her father and learning tactics of war and weaponry by Tatya Tope. From 8 June 2010, the story moved a few years ahead and the role of an elder Laxmi Bai was taken by Kratika Sengar. The show ran in two parts, the first one following the early life of Laxmi Bai where her character was played by Ulka Gupta. The show aired on Zee TV and first premiered on 18 August 2009, running until 19 June 2011.
It takes the viewers through the life of the great queen, from her early days as a child to her demise against the British rule in the historic battle of Jhansi. Jhansi Ki rani is a historical drama based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai, the queen of Jhansi.
